The Department of Developmental Disability Neuropsychiatry at UNSW is hosting a community forum for people with an intellectual disability (ID), their carers and family members. The forum aims to increase awareness to carers and people with ID on how to help look after the physical and mental health needs of ageing individuals with ID. The practical support available for carers and people with ID will also be discussed, as well as the chance to hear personal experiences and advice from leading experts in the area.
The forum is FREE to attend and will be held on 30th October 2012 at South Sydney Juniors Club from 5.30-8.30pm. There will be light refreshments provided throughout the forum and a chance for all attendees to ask questions and liaise with all guests at the end.
