Michaela Kobor

Workplace Support Officer

Michaela provides direct support for our Lived Experience Reference (LER) team, which is made up of 3DN staff with lived experience of a disability. The LER team contributes to co-designed resource development and research on health care projects for people with lived experience. Team members are also involved in developing their communication skills, advocacy, and project administration.

Previously a Teacher and Course Coordinator at TAFE NSW, Michaela has experience supporting, teaching and mentoring people with lived experience of disability and people from vastly diverse backgrounds. She has delivered equity and vocational courses in Communication Skills, Wellbeing and Visual Arts/Design.

Michaela enjoys volunteering as a companion and advocate for people with lived experience of dementia, giving person-centred support in the community and nursing homes. She is passionate about health and wellbeing for lived experience people and minority groups and helping them to achieve their goals through hands-on support, teaching, and mentoring.
