Untitled

2014

About the artist

Alana is a quiet and considered mark-maker, taking time to carefully complete her work. She often chooses to paint with watercolour or draw with pens and markers, and over time develops brightly coloured images that are complex and layered works of art. Circular shapes and delicately dotted marks form meandering abstract arrangements of colour and line.

Alana’s bright and whimsical artworks reflect her cheerful, slightly cheeky yet sensitive manner. She has been part of the Visual Arts program since she began attending Studio ARTES in 2014. She has exhibited in the annual exhibition “Face and Place” at Wallarobba Arts And Cultural Centre in 2014, and again in 2015 at “Paint and Clay”, the annual Studio ARTES Exhibition in collaboration with Hornsby TAFE ceramics students.
