Salary Level 7/8: A$82K - A$105K per year (plus 9.5% employer superannuation and leave loading)

A unique opportunity exists for a highly motivated Project Officer within the Department of Developmental Disability Neuropsychiatry.

The Senior Project and Policy Officer is responsible to manage the NHMRC funded Partnership for Better Health Project Grant entitled: Improving the Mental Health Outcomes for People with Intellectual Disability. The Senior Project and Policy Officer will work with the Department of Developmental Disability Neuropsychiatry staff and work to assist the department achieve project aims.

The Senior Project & Policy Officer will reside in the Department of Developmental Disability Neuropsychiatry, which has been set up by the inaugural Chair in Intellectual Disability Mental Health at UNSW to generate translational research and advocacy in the area of intellectual disability mental health. Working with government and other stakeholders, the Department conducts translational research on the neuropsychiatry of intellectual and developmental disabilities, and seeks to improve both policy and services in this area through education and training of health professionals.

This is a 1.0 FTE full-time (35 hours per week) fixed term position available for one year with prospects of renewal.
