Dr Willemijn Hensbroek is an Intellectual Disability (ID) Medicine registrar from Erasmus University of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. A three year Specialty training in ID Medicine has been available in the Netherlands since 2000. Willemijn is visiting 3DN as part of her traineeship, and aims to compare the Australian ID health care system to the Dutch system (see attached pdf from her recent inservice). She is also visiting the Queensland Centre for Intellectual and Developmental Disability in Brisbane, the Diagnostic and Assessment Services in Kogarah, and the Centre for Developmental Disability Health in Victoria.
