New e-Learning for disability professionals on intellectual disability mental health

| 25 Aug 2017

Three new modules are now available on our e-Learning site. The modules are:

  • Treatments and supports for mental illness
  • How to support a person with intellectual disability in a mental health crisis
  • Supporting carers, colleagues and self-care

The modules are freely available now at www.idhealtheducation.edu.au

Our e-learning modules have been specifically tailored to disability professionals and their unique role in providing support. The modules are designed to equip professionals in the disability sector with the confidence, skills and knowledge needed to respond to the mental health needs of people with intellectual disability.

The new modules were officially launched by the Hon. Tanya Davies, Minister for Mental Health at a Research to Action Day on July 25th, 2017. The day showcased new resources for professionals and carers in the area of intellectual disability health and mental health.
