My name is Christian. I am 39 years old. I like to play touch footy, soccer, bowling and I love to work. I work for Sunnyfield Enterprises doing packing. I also drive a forklift with supervision. I like to help friends and other people. I invite them to join me at work and to take part in activities.
My touch footy team and bowling team are at NADO. I play touch footy every Tuesday night and bowling every second Monday. I play soccer with Plumpton – Oakhurst soccer club. I have played soccer and touch footy for years and have gained a lot of trophies.
I travel around with NADO touch footy team. Last trip we went to Coffs Harbour to play with other teams. I invite friends to join me in sports and social activities so they can have fun, be busy and stay out of trouble. Everyone has something to give back.
Christian’s mum adds:
Cris was born in Ecuador (from Chilean parents) whilst we were living there as refugees. During his first seven years Cris lived in hospital, he was continually having infections. Thanks goodness at the end of 1989 we were allowed to come to Australia and since then everything improved. He was at once admitted to Westmead Hospital and subject to multiple tests and checks. Day by day his health improved.
He attended Laurence Hargrave Special School. During his final year at school, 1999, he was given the opportunity to attend two weeks work experience with B & B Billiards Tables at Lansvale. Next year Cris was offered a fulltime job with same company. By then we lived in Fairfield area, it was easy to travel to Lansvale. Cris learnt to ride his bicycle.
Later, the chance to buy our own property came up and we ended up moving to Rooty Hill. Cris did not give up his job and travelled every single day to Lansvale. He used to wake up at 3:30am to catch the train from Rooty hill to Granville, then change to Fairfield line and went to Cabramatta, then rode his bicycle from Cabramatta station to Lansvale. He was at work by 7:00am. He worked for B & B for 10 years. Unfortunately, business closed, and Cris lost his job. Straightaway he got a new job with Sunnyfield Enterprises at Mount Druitt. He has been already 10 years working with them. He does not know what unemployment means.
