3DN have contributed two articles to a Dementia Awareness Month special issue published by the Australian Journal of Dementia Care. The first article, written by Rachael Birch and Julian Trollor, presents findings from our study into fragile X-associated tremor ataxia syndrome, one of the most common inherited causes of dementia and movement disorder in mid-life.

We are proud to announce the launch of the 3DN Art Gallery. Professor Julian Trollor revealed the online gallery at the NSW CID annual conference in Sydney on Thursday 15 September 2016. A recent collaboration between 3DN and FMRC found that administrative rather than medically related reasons dominated presentations to general practice for people with an intellectual disability. They found an underrepresentation of presentations for core physical health and preventive health measures and call for GPs to be opportunistic when a person presents for administrative reasons in the initiation of health screening for common medical conditions.
